historical town walk
The Town Hall , the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Pamelechurch and the Sint-Walburgachurch are among the finest buildings of the city.
But our town at the river Scheldt offers a wealth of smaller monuments, each telling it's own rich and moving past.
The city has over a hundred listed monuments. The town walk takes you to small hidden corners and monuments. You can get a map for free at the tourist office and there will be signs from June 2007. But we do not only focus on stone monuments, we also take time for a stroll along the Scheldt and a little rest in the town park.
The town walk is available in four languages at the tourist office in the town hall (great marketplace)(1,5 euro)
Six thematic walks for groups and the individual visitor
Every saturday evening during July, August and September.
Begins at the town hall.
Please make a reservation. (2 euro pp.)
