Oudenaarde is a small and pleasant town situated in the south of East-Flanders on the banks of the river Scheldt and on the edge of the Flemish Ardennes. Its glorious past was due to the flourishing tapestry industry of international fame and is still reflected in the late Gothic town hall.
Oudenaarde has a lot in store for visitors. You can take a leisurely walk, admire the architectural heritage, go window-shopping or sample the local beers on the stately Grote Markt.
