Adriaan Brouwer Beer Festival

The Adriaan Brouwer Beer Festival is the highlight of all festivities in Oudenaarde.

The beer festival was named after the greatest artist Oudenaarde produced, the painter Adriaan Brouwer, and for ages has taken place during the last weekend of June. This popular festival offers a three-day program of a high and varied cultural level, respecting tradition while aiming at renewal. Various artistic performances take place on different sites in the town centre. The Adriaan Brouwer Beer Festival offers all kinds of music, street shows, visual arts, comedy, dance, animation, fireworks, etc., in a mix of big names and new talent. And all for free! Everyone dances, drinks the delicious brown ale and parties.

Zomertoeren (Summer Tours)

Since 1990 cycling is what it’s all about at the end of August.

Every year this popular cycling event attracts thousands of sports freaks making tours of between 25 and 40 km through the Flemish Ardennes. The festivity ends on the Grote Markt with a show featuring popular Flemish singers and bands.

The cycle happening Zomertoeren is organized by the town of Oudenaarde in cooperation with Radio 2 East-Flanders and Tourism East-Flanders.
